The other day, there was an great announcement about the new model “popIn Aladdin 2 Plus” from the popIn Aladdin series. At the same time, there was some wonderful updates for the current user.

The most notable updates was the addition of ”Disney＋”.

Until now, we couldn’t watch “Disney＋” directly. We needed to use “Aladdin Connector” which is sold separately and we also need an additional device such as “Amazon Fire TV Stick” or “Apple TV”. But now we don’t need this any more.

What going to change now？

“Aladdin Connector” isn’t needed to watch “Disney+”

Until now, in order to watch “Disney+”, it was necessary to prepare a device that could watch “Disney+” such as “Amazon Fire TV Stick” or “Apple TV” and connect it to the “Aladdin Connector” that enables an HDMI connection to Aladdin, but this will no longer be necessary.

Since the “Aladdin Connector” normally allows only one HDMI connection, it can be effectively used by connecting other items instead.

Can be operated only by using Aladdin remote control

For example, when watching “Disney+” by connecting the “Amazon Fire TV Stick” to the “Aladdin Connector”, you used to need to have two remote controls. One is the remote control for Aladdin and the other is the remote control for Amazon Fire TV Stick.

This was very cumbersome, and it was a hassle to switch between them, but now that it is Aladdin contents, they can be operated with only one Aladdin remote control, which is very convenient.

Other added content

It seems that not only “Disney+” but also “AppleTV” and “TikTok” were added to the content this time. The official announcement is not so much, but they are secretly added to the “Aladdin Store” and all of them can be downloaded free of charge. It would be nice if Aladdin could make a more official appeal, but I think Aladdin values having users discover things on their own.

Although it is impossible to say for sure, I expects that more new content is likely to be added in the future.

The reason for this is that the new model “popIn Aladdin 2 Plus”, which was recently released, doubles the storage from 16 GB to 32 GB.

Storage is needed when you download the “Aladdin store” content. So this means that more content will be available for download in the future.
